Frequently Asked Questions

A Regional model allows players to live and train at home during the week while still competing at the Tier I AAA level against the top programs in the country

Weekday practices will be held locally within each supporting association where players are selected. These sessions will feature combined age groups and place a strong emphasis on individual skill development, following the skill progression outlined in the USA Hockey ADM (American Development Model) Program. Players can expect to practice 2–3 times per week, in addition to participating in 6–8 High Performance Weekends (HPWs) throughout the season.

Each month, all players will travel to the same city for a weekend-long, training-camp-style experience, hosted by a local supporting association. These weekends are designed to provide a high-impact development environment and include 4–5 hours of on-ice practice, off-ice training sessions, classroom-style instruction, video analysis, team-building activities, and cross-over instruction from the entire coaching staff. This model maintains a high practice-to-game ratio while eliminating the need for mandatory relocation or billet families.

Our teams will travel to select cities both within the SAHA region and beyond to participate in tournaments, showcases, and competitive games against top-level opponents. Each team will play approximately 50 games over the course of the season.

Coaches will assess each player’s compete level, skill set, attitude, and overall potential to determine the appropriate level of play for that individual.
